10 Stylish Steps to Celebrate Earth Week
April 17, 2009 by greenmystyle
Earth Week is officially underway, and green groups, businesses and fans across the world are engaging in special events and activities to raise awareness of environmental issues and offer tips for living more sustainably. Greenmystyle.com feels privileged to be doing it’s bit. We’re supporting an Aveda Earth Month event in Wimbledon, plus we’ve compiled these 10 Stylish Steps that you can follow, many without even leaving your desk, to do your bit for Earth Week too.
1. Buy eco versions of Spring’s hottest looks
Chosen your favourite fashion trends for this season? Of course you have! Get the key looks with eco pieces instead. See 10 Key Pieces – a Greenmystyle.com guide to SS09 Trends.
2. And do it for cheaper!
Get 20% off at Fashion-Conscience.com until the end of April. To celebrate Earth Week, Marie Claire‘s favourite eco boutique is offering 20% off all full price purchases until the end of April. The discount code is Spring20. Visit Fashion-Conscience.com.
3. Discover easy ways to reduce your carbon emissions
Visit green lifestyle exhibition UK Aware at London’s Olympia today and tomorrow for ideas on how you can reduce your carbon emissions. Exhibitors will be showcasing hundreds of products and services ranging from cars to computers, from fashion to food and from travel to advice services.
4. Socialise for a good cause, dahling!
Pop into the Gina Conway Aveda salon in Wimbledon at 5.30pm on April 30. To celebrate Earth Week (or in Aveda’s case Earth Month) and raise money for Aveda’s chosen charity for 2009, Global Green Grants, the Wimbledon salon is hosting a bit of a do, including a fashion show and beauty makeovers. The salon is at 21/23 Wimbledon Hill Road. Greenmystyle.com has donated advertising space to Gina Conway salons to support the event. Good luck guys! Find out more about Aveda Earth Month.
