12 Days of Christmas Style – Tree decorations

December 4, 2008 by greenmystyle

Well done you for sorting out an ethical Christmas tree! But what will you hang from it this year? DeviDoll founder Sindhu Venkatanarayanan has an idea.

Day 4
Sindhu writes: We buy so many tree decorations each year which end up meaning not a whole lot. Instead, make your own. I love to get creative with felt cut-outs, straw stars, bundles of dried berries and cinnamon sticks or candy canes made of flour, baked and then painted.

A great way of getting cool tree decorations that are not traditional is to use unique materials such as recycled drinks packaging. I love this heart made out of an old Tetrapak carton.

Jeans just don’t feel Christmassy enough? Come back tomorrow for Sindhu’s tip.
