Delightful Media is an independent media company with a mission to support businesses with positive social and environmental intent. It publishes glossy websites, plus provides contract publishing and media consultancy.
This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to work within the media and style industries, as you will be communicating with reputable businesses on a regular basis. Our organisation provides broad opportunities across the business, including events and special projects for any of Delightful Media’s activities.
Note that this position offers flexible hours of working and is based remotely from home.
Key responsibilities for the position include:
Securing new business:
• Commercial awareness of current marketplace
• Becoming familiar with the nature of a potential client’s products and services, business culture and competition and understanding the possibility of changes to these
• Setting up meetings with potential clients, and discussing the products, services and advertising requirements of each particular client
• Assistance with the formulation of marketing strategies
Maintaining clients
• Liaising with and maintaining regular contact
• Overseeing the status of advertising campaigns with the client and monitoring the effectiveness
• Handling budgets and managing campaign costs
• Writing reports, keeping records and financial details
• Undertaking administrative tasks
• Arranging and attending meetings and reporting on key decisions.
Desirable skills
While some relevant formal training and experience is encouraged, applicants must demonstrate that they are:
• Self-motivated
• Able to deliver to deadline and prioritise tasks with superb time management skills
• Organised and can disseminate information
• Capable of representing Delightful Media with professionalism and integrity
• Excellent communicators with interpersonal and team skills
• Able to work under pressure and negotiate
• Resilient to deal with problems
• Good understanding of the eco and vintage industries
Displaying creativity, enthusiasm and passion for beauty, interiors and design is especially desirable.
Salary is a well-rewarded piece rate / commission-based pay scheme.
