London Fashion Week catwalk report: Ada Zanditon

February 20, 2009 by greenmystyle

Here are four little words that will have a big impact next season; metallics, magic and shoulder pads. The Greenmystyle.com editors kicked off their London Fashion Week frenzy at Ada Zanditon’s glamorous AW09 show at Divo on Waterloo Place. See the pictures and report here. Greenmystyle.com’s London Fashion Week content is sponsored by eco fashion boutique DeviDoll.com.

Clare Saxon writes: Gothic glam took over the catwalk, but in a sexier and slicker way than last year’s helpings of Victoriana. The metallic on black print was used for seductive pencil skirt panels and inside dramatic collars that Sleeping Beauty’s evil Maleficent would be proud of.

Jen Marsden, eco fashion editor and author of Green Guide for Weddings, describes the collection as: “Raw, earthy and beautiful. The local Vanners silk and Celtic design aspects are more than fashion; they are history and the culture of Britain. As usual, Ada thought outside the box, with one of the dresses featuring what looked like milk cartons all over it.”
