How he started

Graeme Hume’s passion for natural living originally developed- quite suprisingly- through his work in organic food distribution. Graeme became involved with Pravera when he began ordering the Lavera cosmetics for his company. Now Graeme doesn’t work in organic food distribution, but his love of organic living in all aspects of  life is clearly important to his work ethic.

As Graeme explains: “As a recipient of organic food through child and adulthood late in the late Nineties I started to think seriously about skincare and the ingredients and effects of proprietary brands. 3. Slather over the body
4. Leave for half an hour and shower off…tasty!

Toxin-free tips
A report from WWF and Greenpeace revealed that in a study of 40 mothers, every mum tested positive for an array of chemicals – not good. “It is definitely much more important to be careful what you use on the skin while pregnant. There is no way near enough research done on the harmful effects of certain chemical skincare ingredients to ascertain whether or not they could harm a growing baby.

“With this in mind, it is much better to err on the side of caution and to stop using any skincare products with synthetic chemicals in at all. I would go even further and say that organic, not just ‘natural’, skincare would be the best bet for mother and baby.”

Essential Oils must-know
