The ethical fashion pack were out in full force on August 13th to celebrate the launch of ‘Junky Styling: wardrobe styling’, the must-have book from Junky Styling. Stacey Malvern was on hand to check out the style secrets of ultra fashionable crowd.

As the fashion pack headed to Olympia to check out new collections and designers at Pure, Amiee Jones was on hand to pick out the hottest street style looks.

Fashion journalist, Naomi Davis, is a picture of retro-chic. She wears second hand printed top and skirt by Aquascutum, a vintage bag from ebay and a borrowed belt.

This very beautiful woman is model Jade Parfitt. Jade was just one of the famous faces partying at the exclusive strictly invitation only Estethica party Monday night at the West End’s Molton House. Greenmystyle.com editor Sarah Woodhead was there, camera in hand. Greenmystyle.com’s London Fashion Week content is sponsored by ethical fashion boutique DeviDoll.com.

The party, sponsored by climate change charity Global Cool, was heaving when I arrived, fashionably late. The great, good and God darn gorgeous of the ethical fashion industry were already getting up close and comfortable with a bevvy of supportive music, model and TV biz stars. We spotted the beautiful Jasmine Guinness, the lovely chaps from The Feeling, Duran Duran star Nick Rhodes, Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole and his fiance, TV presenter Caryn Franklin, actor Nick Moran, Jo Wood and cute son Jesse, and star of stars, Mathew Horne of ‘Gavin & Stacey’. We photographed just about all of them too, alongside a proper packed party full of fashion designers.

Eco fashionistas kick off Fashion Week early at Aveda CDC show

Last night greenmystyle.com partied with all the big names in ethical fashion at the invitation-only catwalk show hosted by Aveda in Holborn, Central London. Sustainable designers such as Mark Liu, Davina Hawthorne, Bibico, Elena Garcia, Tammam and Miksa showcased their stunning A/W 09 collections to a sea of enthusiastic eco fashionistas. Take a peek at our party snaps.

Aveda, the cosmetics and haircare brand hosted the event to celebrate ethical style. They collaborated with Conscious Designers Collective who are a green group of fashion designers who promote the use of sustainable textiles and practises and help new designers source them too.

The catwalk was an exquisite array of breath taking ball gowns, lace print mini dresses, sharp tailored outlines, back combed hair and killer patent vegan heels.

But the pre-show drinks was a whole lot of glamorous fun, where all the greenest names in fashion bonded over delicious vegetarian sushi, organic wine and vegan cookies.

Would you wear this dress?

To you it looks like tatty old jumble, but to stylish folk it looks like their next favourite outfit in waiting. Just how do the cool young popsters spot what secondhand stuff is hot to trot and what’s not? Maria Kaski snapped a bevvy of Chicsters at East London’s Favela Chic in hot swap mode.

Maria writes: Attendees at this month’s Swap-A-Rama event, armed with at least one item of clothing to swap, paid £3 to adorn themselves with cast-offs fit to reside in even the most demanding fashionista’s wardrobe.

Resident DJs played remixes of old Motown classic hits, providing the perfect backdrop for a night of chaotic vintage glamour. Even the boys couldn’t help but get involved!

Real, chic and vintage at Swish

You don’t have to be a stylist or a fashion student to get the hang of vintage style. Stacey Malvern tore herself away from hunting for treasure at the biggest ever Swish, at the V&A this weekend, to snap these gorgeous women doing vintage with style.

Corinne, 49, got this 1940s dress from the Swish: “It had been left behind, probably because it doesn’t look much like this, but it’s a good quality material and shape.” Her coat is a secondhand designer piece, inherited from a friend. Corinne’s dress and scarf are “about 20-years-old!”. Boots and bag from Marks & Spencer.
