PJ Harvey300A number of high-profile celebrities have put up their most iconic garments for auction in an effort to help those whose lives have been devastated by the earthquake in Haiti. George Walker finds out how the likes of Dido, Chris Martin and La Roux are using their iconic looks to make a difference.

Here at Greenmystyle.com we’ve been very happy to see the amount of high-profile celebrities across the globe using their star power to raise funds for the Haiti appeal. Here in the UK celebrities are helping Oxfam with its Haiti appeal by auctioning some of their most iconic garments and instruments.

Rock Goddess P J Harvey is auctioning her yellow dress from the ‘Uh Huh Her’ album tour, Chris Martin has his signed ‘Viva La Vida’ military jacket for sale and La Roux has two signed Sylvie Markovina necklaces up for grabs.

Dido even has her stunning dress from the 12 million-selling ‘Life for Rent’ album cover up for sale. You may want to keep these pieces for display purposes rather than for wearing to the local grocer, but it’s a great chance to get your hands on some celeb garb.

For you music lovers, or for the music lover in your life, Damon Albarn from band Blur is auctioning a personal song just for you; Mark Ronson is flogging his guitar from the ‘Valerie’ video, and The Arctic Monkeys are also selling off their stringed wonder.
