Daily eBay – Arkana table & chairs

Yesterday we treated you to a Daily eBay pick from Vogue associate editor Celia Duncan. Today we’re spoiling you with what could be the home style bargain of the month, heck the year!

Today’s Daily eBay is this original dining set from the Sixties, manufactured by Arkana, and discovered for greenmystyle.com by designer and expert eBay hunter Vic Tristram. It is similar to designer Eero Saarinen’s iconic tulip table and chairs (Note from ed: these are sitting in my dining room right now), but this particular model was designed by Maurice Burke.

The chairs have the original orange vinyl or rexine seats, still firmly in place, and the table top is still in very good condition. There is some chipping to a couple of the chair feet – the worst being shown in the last pic on eBay.

It has a starting bid price of 99pence, and bidding ends November 5 at 8.45pm.
