Daily eBay – Eighties Thierry Mugler wiggle dress

Word has it amongst vintage fashion dealers that the designers to get your hands on right now are Thierry Mugler and Claude Montana. Today’s Daily eBay, this Thierry Mugler yellow Eighties wiggle dress, would have them panting for breath then.

I heard the word at the ultra-exclusive Vintage Academe salon sale at 22 Jermyn Street last week. Apparently, Mugler and Montana are shooting up in price as everyone hunts for quintessentially Eighties items. The two designers were hot properties then, and beyond perfumes and handbags, haven’t been quite so hot since.

The Eighties revival is bringing back not just Bros-style ripped jeans, shoulder pads and big hair, but Eighties designers too. Eighties colours are sweeping in also, from acid bright yellow like this dress, to hot pinks and aqua blues. Wow, that sounds like my teenage make-up bag contents.

It’s a very short window on this dress, with bidding over at 8.15pm. Current bid price is £35, which is a steal.
