Daily eBay – I really love your tiger sleeves!

Have you noticed how sleeves are so much more than just the bits that keep your arms warm these days? They’re billowing sails, modern art canvases, trailing flora, theatrical showpieces. We’re talking statement sleeves.

Take today’s Daily eBay, this ace 1970s mini-dress, as an example. Fabulous isn’t it? Glorious. Wonderous. Those sleeves are so ‘look at me I’m gorgeous’ I’m amazed they aren’t the ones wearing A-lister oversized shades. I feel dull and ordinary sitting here typing this with merely two tubes of black knitwear purporting to be the sleeve bits of my jumper.

This vintage 70s disco dress (see how everything wants to be a disco dress too? Make way for a lot of that come Spring Summer 09) has…wait for it…”glam black and gold metallic tiger striped” sleeves. Boy, does it? I just hope they didn’t kill a glam black and gold metallic tiger to make them.
