Daily eBay – Luella Bartley bag

September 17, 2008 by greenmystyle

Inspiration from gorgeous (and eco) Alexa Cheung for Daily eBay today. The TV presenter, former model, and too cool for school rock girlfriend was spotted yeterday at the Luella show at London Fashion Week. With her enviable taste – take note of her vintage / thrift / random style, people – Alexa’s somewhat of a style icon here at greenmystyle.com.

So, on to today’s discovery. It’s this lightly used black patent Luella Bartley bag. We especially like to forage out items that have been used before, rather than bring to you new items which are simply being passed through eBay at the end of the season. The purpose of Daily eBay is to help you recycle and re-use stuff, not to help shops clear their shelves. Good idea, yes?

Anyway, back to the bag. The seller is so keen to stress the authenticity of this bag that she’s prepared to pay back 10 times the winning bid if it’s proved to be a fake. That’s another thing we avoid like Paris Hilton at greenmystyle.com. Fakes flood through the grey market and there’s absolutely no way of gauranteeing their ethical manufacture or sale. If you think we’ve showcased a fake here, let us know straight away.

So, today’s Luella Bartley bag is awaiting a next bid of £19.97 or more, though the undisclosed reserve price isn’t met yet. Bidding ends at 22.07pm tonight, September 17, so it’s quick off the blocks if you’re interested.
