Awards season is upon us and all sorts of fashion experts turn to the red carpet to give us the trends set by the fashionable nominees. Last week’s Golden Globes ceremony was as glitzy as ever but if we had to pick one ‘it’ item at the moment, that would be umbrellas! Eleni Sardi picks today’s Daily eBay.

Sunny LA doesn’t seem like the kind of place that nominees’ couture would be in danger of getting wet but this year’s bad weather meant that brollies had to be close at hand. We’re no stranger to wet days here in the UK so investing in a good umbrella is always a wise choice.

We’ve found this beautiful vintage St Michael’s umbrella in purple which also features a fancy handle. And it’s big enough for two to stand under it if ‘it’s raining more than ever’!
