Daily eBay – snowy weather Moon Boots of course!

February 2, 2009 by greenmystyle

I had a wonderful wiggle dress for Daily eBay today, and then I woke up in old London town to an amazing wontery winderland. Of course, there was only one thing for it, find Moon Boots!

Vicky Siddons at school had a pair of Moon Boots, and I so lusted after them. I had wellies. I can only compare the wretchedness of it all to having the lookey-likey Girls World, with rubbish grey hair, instead of the real, glorious golden-maned one (thank the Lord that didn’t happen to me).

Vicky Siddons also had her ears pierced, her hair streaked blonde, tottered in sky-high stilettos and dated the Economics teacher – yep, all before she actually left school. She’s still married to him, would you believe, 20 years later. You see, it’s not all wierd.

Back to Moon Boots. I think the reason I didn’t have a pair was because I’d have struggled to lift my feet my legs were so puny. I remember finally getting my first pair of ‘pixie boots’; my legs in those looked like two garden canes stuck in extra-large plant pots, sans plants. Why can’t I have those legs now? Apparently, I have ‘cankles’, according to this weekend’s Sunday Times. Cankles are what happen when your calves spread straight into your foot without a dainty ankle in between. I have two of them.

Anyways, didn’t I say back to the Moon Boots? Well, I can’t have been the only kid in the Seventies who didn’t own a pair. So for all the other kids out there who spent hours with noses pressed at the window of the Moon Boot shop like little Timmy in Scrooge, here’s a pair for you.

They’re O’Neill Moon Boots, fleece-lined, barely worn and a decent starting bid price of £4.99. They’re a size 40-41, but don’t worry if that’s not your size, they have 41 sets of used friends on eBay.
