Daily eBay – Susie Cooper for Wedgwood tea set
April 14, 2009 by Sarah Woodhead
I’ve done much entertaining of friends and family this Easter weekend, including hosting a whole day of craft magic – if you’ve never seen grown men make felt monkeys I recommend it. Anyway, I’ve never washed so many mugs in my life – even the tired old mugs that never get used got used. Oh for a pretty matching tea set.
Today’s Daily eBay, found by Skip Sister Angie van Manen, is this gorgeous Susie Cooper designed tea set by Wedgwood. It’s a set of six china cups with a sugar bowl and milk jug in the blue anemone pattern. The seller, who should be forgiven the faux leaded windows, says the pieces are all in good condition except the sugar bowl which has a hairline crack on the bottom.
Like Clarice Cliff, Susie Cooper designed pieces are sought after. It’s also well worth validating that any ‘Susie Cooper’ designed sets are genuine. No reason to doubt this one, but might be worth doing a bit of extra research with the seller.
The set has a fantastic starting price of £3.99, and bidding ends April 16 at 3.07pm.
