Eco decorating from an interiors expert

Ecos stock so many eco friendly paints, varnishes and wood paints, there’s no excuse to use a traditionally solvent bases paint again. Choose from a wide range of emulsions available in a mind boggling 110 colours. They also sell hardwearing floor paint, clear and tinted varnishes for woodwork and exterior paints. As if that wasn’t enough, they’re VOC and solvent free. Prices start from £26.33 for 2.5L of matt emulsion.

The Little Greene Paint Company stock a great range of low VOC and solvent free, water based finishes including acrylic emulsion, satin and eggshell as well as their ULTIMATT  Emulsion, which is a great multi purpose paint that a well as being really tough and hardwearing (making it the perfect choice for kid’s rooms and hallways)and it can also be used to paint radiators. But what really impresses us about Little Greene is their paint is available in over 100 shades. Look out for their cutting edge Catwalk Collections which they release every season and the more classic English Heritage range. Prices start at £23 for 2.5L of acrylic emulsion.

As well as winning numerous awards and accreditations for their eco paints, earthBorn also attracted Oliver Heath to design the Eco Chic collection for them. A range of beautiful colours that are solvent and VOC free as well as being odourless, meaning they’re a lot nicer to use. You can also create a bespoke colour by visiting your local earthBorn stockist who will be able to tint your paint to the preferred shade. Prices start from £22.95 for 2.5L
