Edun and Made-By run a T-shirt design competition
September 30, 2009 by Maria Kaski
Bonnie Wright and celebrity pals will judge T-shirt designs for the Edun and Made-By sustainable design competition. Maria Kaski writes.
Starting tomorrow, aspiring fashion designers are being encouraged to design a limited edition Edun Live T-shirt in celebration of Made-By’s 5th anniversary.
Contestants can upload their designs on the Made-By website from 1st – 31st October. The public will be able to vote for their favourite designs, after which the celebrity judging panel, composed of Bonnie Wright, Summer Rayne Oakes and an Edun representative, will pick the best design from the 10 finalists.
The winning design will be presented on December 16th. The T-shirts will be sold online and within selected retailers in Europe.
Made-By works with brands to gradually improve the environmental and social conditions of their supply chains.
In 2007, Edun launched the Edun Live brand of blank T-shirts, which are 100% African produced.
