Emma Watson launches People Tree Youth!
February 1, 2010 by Jen Marsden
Harry Potter star Emma Watson was busy on her gap year! She’s just launched a range of gorgeous Fairtrade clothing for teens with pioneer eco fashion brand People Tree. Jen Marsden writes.
What a lovely lass Emma Watson is! While busy filming Harry Potter 7, she was sketching into the wee small hours to complete her first ethical fashion range for People Tree.
She notes: “I wanted to help people produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to help alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with.”
Emma hopes that everyone will feel the same consumer power she feels. In fact that slogan is featured on one of the tees within her brand-spanking new collection.
There’s far more to the eye than just tees though – think gorgeous jersey dresses, quintessentially English waistcoasts, Oxford cricket jumpers, gym shorts, vest tops, beanies, blazers, scarves…the list goes on. School will never be the same either if you don the wonderful lion crest of the handmade ‘School of Fairtrade’ badge that Emma designed. The catalogue is an absolute delight and we recommend that you get your hands on one quick smart. (Not to mention that it’s bound to be a collector’s item in 10 years time).
