Hot stuff: Ascension launches designer limited edition tees

To celebrate London Fashion Week,  and forthcoming Fairtrade Fortnight 2010, Ascension has created a range of designer limited edition tees. Mandy Barder writes.

In celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 (February 22nd- 7th March), the likes of Jacquetta Wheeler, Ann Louise Roswald, Lou Lou & Law and Jo Wood’s have all helped create this exclusive range.

Super green Jo Woods, who is faithfully committed to all things organic, has come up with a cool and casual ethical design for her t-shirt. Jo’s popular fragrance, bath and body care range has been a career highlight for her. She is also a dedicated supporter of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Jacquetta Wheeler is best known as the crème de la crème of the British supermodel elite, as well as transferring a skill or two behind the camera. She snapped the stunning landscape on her t-shirt (above). Ann Louise Roswald uses distinctive floral prints to get her message across in her T-shirt, as well as across the 100 shops globally her designs are stocked in.

Ann Louise has also put her talent to good use in Lou Lou & Law’s t-shirt design (left) in collaboration with artist Natasha Law, who is an advocate of the female form depicted in sultry ink. She is renowned for her use of the female body, usually portrayed in high heels, knickers and lip stick.

The t-shirts havethe FAIRTRADE Mark on them, which is an integral philosophy at Ascension, and were printed using water based organic inks certified by the Soil Association.

They are available at Ascension for £24 and only 50 of each celebrity’s design are being made.
