Jimmy Choo backs Julia Smith’s boutique

Julia Smith, one of the winners of the First in Fashion Award, has opened her first boutique in London’s Connaught Village. Joint winners Julia Smith and footwear designer Joanne Stoker were hand-picked by a panel of expert judges including Mr. Jimmy Choo and Grazia Magazine’s editor at large, Melanie Rickey. The Marble Arch boutique will be home to Julia Smith’s AW09 and SS10 collection. The designer’s line combines smart tailoring with feminine touches. Firm favourites include the boob tube dress in brass and the chunky knitwear with delicate bow embellishments.

Julia Smith’s fair trade philosophy is a major element of her collections. She works with local businesses to support local trade.
