London Fashion Week Party Insider: Ethical Fashion Forum, Ada Zanditon and the February rains

February 27, 2010 by Jen Marsden

maria300If you haven’t already noticed from this week’s editorial, the Greenmystyle.com team was out in force at London Fashion Week – and that included the wonderful parties. Jen Marsden writes.

We wanted to share with you some of our pictures from the fun we had on Tuesday, which was the highlight of our week, as we flitted in the rain between Ada Zanditon’s incredible catwalk show, estethica and the Ethical Fashion Forum’s LFW seasonal party held at the wonderful Hospital Club.

Spoilt by the complimentary cocktails by Courvoisier, the party – the theme of which was “A Celebration of Ethical Fashion” was a fabulous mixture of some of the pioneer ethical fashion designers including Pants to Poverty’s Ben Ramsden, Ciel’s Sarah Ratty, Worn Again’s Cyndi Rhoades and Komodo’s Mark Bloom, as well as many new designers.

With Trousers London’s latest organic collection and Ada Zanditon’s A/W 2010’s EchoLocation collection, there was much to celebrate.

We particularly loved the ingenuinity of The Designers Dress Up Closet, where guests were invited to try on some fabulous and ever-so ethical designs from the likes of Ada Zanditon, Julia Smith, Beautiful Soul, Amisha Jewellery and My Only One.

Our thoughts exactly: who needs a traditional catwalk when you’ve got so many gorgeous people in the room already? Match this with the Ethical Fashion Photo Booth and our team had an absolute hoot!

GreenmyLIFEstyle.com’s personal stylist Zoe Robinson, mentioned:
“I tried on one of Ada’s dresses that I’d first seen and loved at fashion week a year ago and it was amazing to be able to wear it (even if just for a few minutes!)” We  all thought you looked beautiful in it Zoe!

As the night wore on we could all be found enjoying the boogie on the dance floor, while Ethical Fashion Forum’s Creative Director and My Only One founder Pamela Daniels hunt for her iron in true fashion glory. Who crumpled the dress, we wonder?

The continued support of both The Hospital Club and industry supporters such as the British Fashion Council’s ‘Eco Mentor Programme’ and Ethical Fashion Forum’s ‘EFF Innovation Programme’ help enable designers to get the support  and mentorship they need to showcase the values behind their brand.
