Oh so EcoChic in Geneva: GreenmyLIFEstyle’s stylist Zoe Robinson reports
January 25, 2010 by Jen Marsden
This silk satin dress by Thai designer (and Central St Martins graduate) Disaya Sorakraikitikul proves that eco can be just as sexy.
Tamsin Lejeune of Ethical Fashion Forum commented to Alongkorn Ponlaboot the Thai Deputy Minister of Commerce that she’s noticed a wealth of talented Thai designers through her work with the Ethical Fashion Network, and he was keen to discuss how the his Government plan to support and nurture their up and coming designers.
He also said, “Being stylish could be synonymous with what you can do to make the world a better place to live”. This, very simply put, summed up what many of us there felt and I certainly hope this will become the reality as people’s understanding of the value of buying eco fashion broadens.
