Just a few moments from my parent’s house, this former weaver’s cottage now serves as one of the nation’s best kept gastronomic secrets. Its reputation for English haute cuisine comes from numerous accolades from the national press.

The Weaver’s Shed is also very ethical, with its own vegetable garden, hen coop and a strong focus on locally-sourced organic produce. Trust me; it’s worth a trip to the Pennines for this.
