Street style at London Fashion Week

September 22, 2009 by Maria Kaski

Lydia Mbala of Four PR keeps it casual in Evisu jeans, a t-shirt found at Portobello Market and a destroyed Topshop cardigan that could almost be mistaken for a Rodarte piece.
Editor at online media information provider, The Press Association, Lisa Haynes looks as glamourous as ever in a mix of high street and vintage. Her denim biker jacket is Miss Selfridge, paired with a vintage black top and sky high black Asos shoe boots.
Fashion Promotion graduate Faye Adams is currently interning at label Elizabeth Lau, (cousin of respected fashion blogger, Susanna Lau, aka Susie Bubble) A walking advert for the brand that specialises in knitwear, her dress is Lau, paired with ladylike mary-janes for a polished look.
Hannah Logic, freelance stylist works a self made dress with a customised Nike hoodie. The added spikes on the hood perfectly compliment the gothic outfit, which is finished with chunky vintage boots, and jewelry by Dominic Jones and Swarovski. Check her out at hannahlogic.blogspot.com
Elisalex, the designer behind brand Nina Dolcetti wears a borrowed jumper, american apparel leggings and some eye-catching wedges from her own line. The all black ensemble really makes the gorgeous contasting shoes ‘pop.’
Head of sales and marketing at label Bryce de Aime, Daniella Aves pulls off an enviably effortless monochrome outfit. Her vintage blouse is tucked into an H&M leather skirt and teamed with masculine Beatrix Ong flats.
Patricia Stepanovic is an ideal ambassador for vintage, wearing second hand black blazer  and sheer shirt with an H&M skirt and buffalo shoes. The mix of sheer, leather and silky exposed lining of the blazer brings vital texture to the head to toe black. Patricia recently won Oxfam’s D.I.Y competition with some customised shoes. 8 Kazuko Howlin, designer of the K45i line, wears all vintage for a colourful, thrown together aesthetic that is echoed in her offbeat designs. Striking is top her list when deciding on daily outfits, which you definitely won’t see on anyone else.
Kazuko’s husband, John Howlin shares her love off vintage treasures and owns a couple of his own vintage shops in London. He wears spray on Cheap Monday jeans with vintage striped breton top and boots.
Student and fashion editor at Icon Magazine, Julia Fitzpatrick’s cutomised leather jacket is a gorgeous way to do stud embellishment on a budget. Her vintage dress and DM’s continue the gothic look, a touch of luxury is added by way of her Burberry Prorsum bag.
