Daily eBay – 1960s coffee table
September 13, 2008 by greenmystyle · Leave a Comment
Today’s discovery is this 1960s teak and glass coffee table. It’s elegant, simple, modernist in feel, and hey, will hold books, mugs, nibbles and the cat really well!
It’s in virtually perfect condition with just a few marks on the glass commensurate with its age. Manufactured in England too. it measures 84cm in diameter and is 46cm high.
Now, strictly speaking, teak isn’t ideal in the green home, it being subject to over-forestation. So if you love the look and durability of teak but want to make absolutely sure you’re not contributing to the problem it’s better to buy secondhand versions than new.
The starting bid for this table is £45, and bidding ends September 14 at 20.04pm. It’s a pick-up only by the way, from Enfield, North London.
Want to re-use and recycle more items, but don’t have time to sift the style from the dross on eBay? Well, you’re in the right place. Every day on greenmystyle.com we bring you one desirable item. Keeping a green life stylish and simple.
