Can I find eco wallpaper?
October 31, 2008 by greenmystyle · Leave a Comment
Well, it seems the answer is yes, which is great news. Wallpaper is still enjoying somewhat of a revival, particularly the all-four-walls theme, but here at greenmystyle we’ve been a little concerned about whether it’s possible to do wallpaper and be green at the same time. Read more

Daily eBay – Habitat table
September 22, 2008 by greenmystyle · Leave a Comment

A stylish bedside table is as hard to find as a sober footballer in Chinawhite. There’s more pine than there are pine forests it seems (why, we ask?), and if it’s not pine, it’s white MDF and made with the same degree of skill as baby’s first painting. ‘My kid could make that better,’ we exclaim as a nation at yet another Ikea object with wonky joints.
But we’re nothing if not tenacious at greenmystyle.com, and undeterred by a tricky challenge in the face of recycling and re-using, we’ve toiled at the coalface that is eBay to find what does pass as an attractive bedside table.
Yes, today’s Daily eBay is this Habitat contemporary purple plastic bedside table with sliding doors. Purple plastic might not strike you as the most stylish, but I’d have to disagree. I think this would look great as a standalone colourful piece against a range of more sedate bedroom colours and styles. And purple’s a very hot fashion colour right now too.
Height is 23 inches, diameter is 12.5 inches, and it has three separate compartments. Strikes me as being rather useful.
Current bid price is £7.50, and bidding ends September 23 at 12.23pm. It’s a pick-up from Godalming, Surrey.
Daily eBay – Ikea day bed
September 18, 2008 by greenmystyle · Leave a Comment
Today’s discovery hints at the fact that I was out late last night and am feeling a little sleepy today. I was at Feelgood Fashion, an ethical fashion event and part of London Design Festival, if you’re wondering. It was great. I met Safia Minney, founder of People Tree, a greenmystyle favourite label.
Anyway, I digress. With sleepiness on my mind, I headed just now for the day beds on eBay. It’s all making sense now, yes?
So, today’s find is this incredibly simple, suits all styles, Ikea day bed, with a current bid price of just £25. That’s a steal.
Everything’s beige, which is a bit of a gamble, but the covers are washable. It’s 169cm long by 80cm wide and 40cm high. I’ve lost count of how often I’ve been inflating a blow-up mattress and wishing for a spare bed like this. You know what I mean.
Bidding ends September 24 at 13.57pm. It’s a pick-up only from Weybridge, Surrey, buy hey there are worse things to do on a Saturday afternoon.
By the way, I seem to be having an Ikea moment this week. Fear not, readers, it will pass.
