Tried and tested: Icelandic winter beauty scrub

Iceland is famous for having the purest water in the world, so we’re excited about this Icelandic brand’s beauty secrets. Charlotte Freestone tries and tests the sumptuous TÊr Icelandic Silky Refining Scrub

Charlotte writes:
With my skin looking duller than dull after all that Christmas partying, I decided it was about time I put the fresh back into my face. As I reach for TÊr Icelandic Silky Refining Scrub, I am hoping for some miracles. My skin is not looking its best and I have a party this time next week…am I asking too much?

TÊr’s products are renownd for their outstanding, indulgent and holistic properties, using only the purest natural ingredients, and this scrub is no exception. Containing the fundamental ingredients yarrow and angelica, this scrub claims to purify and detoxify, using fine walnut dust to gently exfoliate and apricot and lime oils to uplift and brighten.

On first use there is no denying this scrub’s luxurious properties. Using circular motions I gently buff my skin with the scrub, not only feeling the walnut dust exfoliating my skin, but also noticing how moisturising the scrub feels. Unlike other face scrubs which can sometimes feel a little abrasive and as though you are scrubbing away about fifteen layers of skin, TÊr Icelandic’s product is smooth and silky without that uncomfortable rawness that sometimes follows exfoliating. Oh and by the way, it smells incredible. Like cherries!

After a week of using the product my skin feels smooth and silky, and as someone who suffers from uneven skin around my nose and apples of my cheeks, I can see a marked difference in my skin tone. And that is saying something seeing as I never got to go to the party due to being bed-bound by the winter cold. Oh well… at least my skin is peachy even if I’m not!

TÊr Icelandic Silky Refining Scrub 100ml £19.50 – Available from www.musthave.co.uk and www.taer.com
