Top ten: AW09 shoes and accessories at Estethica

7. Izzy Lane snake shoes (And boots. And bags!)
I hadn’t realised how great Izzy Lane’s accessories were until today, as I had always been side tracked by her sumptuous and flattering dresses and knitwear. But boy, had I been missing out.
I will never be a vegan, but it was so nice to know that I could get the leather look for less guilt with these amazing Vegetarian Approved shoes. The veggie-friendly stamp is even on the sole of the shoes, which is weird when you have only ever seen it on pizza boxes before.
Izzy’s knee length boots are seductive show stoppers and her glossy mock-croc handbag is just perfect for the office to the dancefloor. But what I really loved were these chunky, no-nonsense heels.
With veggie shoes you often don’t get references to the effect of skin such as snake and crocodile, which is silly because it is really quite beautiful. These heels are snakin’ slick and the nude colour really lengthens the stumpy among us. Ahem.
All shoes are handmade by an East-end traditional cobbler, and made from polyurethane coated canvas which allows your feet to breathe a lot easier than in leather. This really is the best of British design.

Fantastic shoes, love them. Always need heels but just can’t wear them all day unless theyr’e wedges /platforms, these are so perfect for wearing with dresses and skirts, much more feminine than my ‘big boots’ that I live in to give me height with comfort.
