And there was us, thinking our favourite beauty products are made out of strawberrys and stardust. Well, some of them are. Maybe.

Find out whether your favourite beauty products contain stardust, environmentally friendly natural ingredients or harmful levels of toxins at cosmeticsdatabase.org. Simply enter the name of your products into the search box and hit go.

Considering that our skin is the largest organ in the human body…yep…yet another thing we learned in school and suddenly forgot about as adults buying shampoo, soaps, lotions and makeup–our skin has an important job to do, so smothering it in cheap, fake, horibble, chemically lotions and potions is just plain wrong. I started switching to organic and free range meat in the late 1990s and then switched to organic soaps and shampoo soon after that. Converted.

Crap is out there so don’t play with it…another thing learned on the playground!!!
